Advanced Hypnosis for Childbirth course information (.pdf)

Advanced Hypnosis for Childbirth ( hypnobirthing ) courses of one-to-one sessions take place at our offices in 15 New Street in Central Salisbury. For the complete standard training we would recommend a series of 4 x 1.5 hours one-to-one individualised sessions tailored to your needs attended anytime from 20 weeks in your pregnancy. However sessions can also be held earlier or later in your pregnancy if needbe, subject to availability. If you were only able to attend 1 or 2 sessions, then content would be tailored accordingly, by mutual agreement, for you to achieve maximum benefit. Birth partners are encouraged to attend the sessions with you if it is possible for them to do so. Each session costs £90 for 1.5 hours duration. Early booking is advised as we do usually have a short waiting list for new clients.

If you wish to discuss particular requirements or have any questions about the sessions, we would be happy to discuss them with you. There are a variety of day and evening clinics available so that they can be held at your convenience.

Our hypnobirthing training is termed 'advanced' as all our easibirthing® practitioners are required to already be qualifed hypnotherapists or hypno-psychotherapists so they have have an advanced expertise and knowledge of the psychological processes involved and how our brain works. This means that easibirthing® hypnobirthing training will not only teach techniques such as relaxation but will also teach how to manage sensations of pain and discomfort by re-programming the brain's response to messages from nerve endings.

Birth has the potential to be one of the most wonderful experiences of your life.
Childbirth is a natural physiological process that a woman’s body is fully equipped for.
Each birth is unique, and easibirthing® is about empowering you to manage your individual experience, not fear it.
We train you to use self-hypnosis, relaxation, visualisation and breathing methods to prepare mind and body for birth. The easibirthing® method teaches you how to use hypnosis for pain management and aims to boost your trust in your body so you enter labour feeling calm, confident and in control.
This is about reaching a state of deep relaxation, maintaining perception of control over the process and developing a positive attitude.
It is about changing your expectation of birth so that you help rather than hinder the natural process, and develop valuable life skills for parenthood.
